WHY 183 WORDS?

Peg Mokrass is the world’s only microfiction agent. She reads very short stories all day, and that is why her eyes are terrible. In fact, they are so terrible, that she has to keep buying new glasses and on top of that, she keeps losing the new ones. In the last 10 years, Peg Mokrass has purchased exactly 183 pairs of glasses. Poor woman.
