—The Creative Process (Paris) in Collaboration with NFFR—

We’re very excited here at New Flash Fiction Review! A handful of excerpts from New Flash Fiction Review‘s last 5 years have been selected by The Creative Process for an upcoming exhibition as part of the European Consortium For Humanities Institutes and Centres, and shown in the old and lovely University of Leuven in Belgium (April 4th-to June).

These excerpts were chosen by The Creative Process’ staff, and will be shown along with work from writers in the Iowa Writers Workshop International Program.

NFFR authors whose excerpted work will be included are:

The Creative Process Exhibition was launched at the Sorbonne by artist Mia Funk. TCP is a traveling exhibition that brings together the world’s leading writers and selected new voices with original artwork. As a part of their non-profit international educational initiative, they are also publishing poems, stories, essays, and creative works, traveling to forty leading universities around the world. The exhibition consists of interviews with Etkar Keret, George Saunders, Joyce Carol Oates, Paul Auster, Neil Gaiman,Tobias Wolff, Richard Ford, Junot Díaz, Viet Thanh Nguyen, Jane Smiley, Maxine Hong Kingston, Dave Eggers, Rick Moody, Ann Beattie, Sam Lipsyte, Robert Olen Butler, and many more. Some of the other participating magazines for past exhibitions include: Tin House, The Iowa Review, LA Review of Books, Columbia Journal, Washington Square Review, Ninth Letter, Michigan Quarterly Review.
